The scarf is woven from exceptionally soft, sustainable baby alpaca wool. Weaving alpaca wool is a Peruvian tradition dating back to Inca times. Alpaca fibres are softer, more durable and warmer than other natural fibres. The scarf sheds very little and retains its beautiful appearance for years. Made from 100% sustainable baby alpaca wool, the finest grade of alpaca wool, it does not get any better. Elvang is fair-trade certified at the highest level by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), guaranteeing the scarf is made under proper conditions for the environment, people and animals.
